3. Basic information on processing

The processing is carried out in order to enable us to carry out targeted public relations work. In addition, your personal data will be processed by the platform operators to optimise their services (in particular the platform advertising systems). As a site operator, visiting and interacting with our pages enables us to gain insights into statistical evaluations on the part of the platform operators, e.g.:

  • Insights into target groups (demographic, geographic, interests).
  • Evaluation of reach and interactions (likes, comments, subscriptions, views, etc.).
  • Analysis for addressing and improving our content in a way that is appropriate for the target group.
  • Development of interest-based advertising measures.

If users are logged in on several devices, the analysis can also be carried out across devices. The platforms provide us with the data exclusively in anonymised form – it is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons.

 

4. Legal basis and legitimate interests

The processing by us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in an optimised external presentation and communication with our target groups via social media platforms. Furthermore, the processing of your personal data is based on your declaration of consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

 

5. Information on the individual platforms

Facebook / Instagram

Data processing by us

For the above-mentioned purposes, we use the Facebook and Instagram platforms of Meta Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (i.F. platform).

As part of our platform fan page, we use the "Page Insights" function back. These are aggregated and anonymised statistics that the platform provides to provide information about the usage behaviour, reach and demographic characteristics of visitors to the site. This data enables us to evaluate and optimise its public relations work on the platform. The use of this function is based on the so-called "Page Insights Addendum", through which there is a joint data protection responsibility between Meta and us.

If you interact with posts on the fan page (comments, likes, shares, etc.), we process this personal data, in particular. profile data, metadata, such as the time of the interaction and the interaction content). The data will be deleted when either your account or the respective interaction (comment, like) is deleted, unless there are any legal obligations to the contrary from this deletion.

 

Data processing by the platforms

When you visit our platform fan page, the platform collects, among other things, your IP address and other data, for example via cookies on your device. This information is processed by Facebook and may also be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. Facebook is solely responsible for this data processing.

The above-mentioned page insights are used by the platform to provide anonymised statistics about the use of our fan page. Based on your platform identifier, this platform can track that you have visited our site and how you have used it, including across other pages with platform content. The platform uses this data to display personalised content or advertising, among other things.

If you want to avoid this, you should log out of the relevant platform before visiting our site, disable the "keep me logged in" feature, delete cookies and restart your browser. 6. Disclosure of data

STABILO itself does not pass on any personal data. However, it is possible that the platform operators process data outside the European Union.

Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google/YouTube and LinkedIn are certified under the US-EU Data Privacy Framework.

Pinterest and TikTok are not certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The transfer is therefore based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in accordance with Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR, supplemented by additional organizational and technical protective measures that Pinterest and TikTok say they have implemented.

These include but are not limited to: encryption technologies to secure data in transit and at rest, access restrictions and role-based permissions, audits and security audits, as well as obligations to service providers who must also comply with data protection standards.

Right of access, Art. 15 GDPR

You have the right to request information from us at any time about the data stored about you, as well as about its origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom this data is passed on and the purpose of the storage.

Right of withdrawal, Art. 7 paragraph 3 GDPR

If you have given your consent to the use of data, you can revoke it at any time without giving reasons with effect for the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent before the withdrawal. Right of rectification, Art. 16 GDPR

You can request the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of your data stored by us.

Right of deletion and blocking, Art. 17 and 18 GDPR

You have the right to block and delete the data stored by us about you. If the deletion contradicts statutory retention obligations or other legally enshrined reasons, only the blocking of your data can be carried out instead of deletion.

Data transfer law, Art. 20 GDPR

If you request the personal data you have provided to us, we will, if you so wish, hand over or transmit the data to you or another controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. The latter, however, only if this is technically possible.

Right to object, Art. 21 GDPR
