Mark Bohle is a German artist and graphic designer based in Barcelona. His work focuses on pop culture, typography and everyday imagery. Together with Nam Huynh, he runs the graphic design studio N&Ms. In addition to his artistic and commercial practice, he teaches typography at Elisava University in Barcelona.

Mark's career began when he became fascinated with graffiti at a young age. He spent hours copying graffiti designs from hip hop books and magazines. Now you can buy his recently published book Pica Pica, which features a curated selection of his sketchbook drawing.

"1) Don't overthink things – just start. The initial effort is never the final outcome, so it doesn't matter what you start with. What matters is that you start.

2) You may have to do 40 drawings before you get one you like. Don't be discouraged by the 39 that don't work - they all contribute to the one good drawing.

3) Create physical work. There's a huge difference between looking at 40 digital files and holding 40 physical drawings. Real life wins. It’s more real."
