Techniques with the STABILO woody 3 in 1

Scratching technique

Easy as pie: First, apply several layers of paint on top of each other on a paper - starting with the light colours. The last layer should always be black or dark. Now use the scraper to scratch a picture into the top layer. This wonderfully brings out the bright colours underneath.

Hairdryer technique

Use a hair dryer to heat the pencil - this changes the structure of the paint. The now soft, malleable colour is then simply applied to the sheet. If you blur the colours with your fingers, beautiful, flowing colour gradients are created.

Blending technique

If you love delicate colour transitions or are looking for new colour variations - simply mix the colours with each other on the paper with your fingers. Rough paper is best suited for this. To ensure that the colour sticks to the paper for as long as possible, professionals fix the images with fixing spray.

Aquarell technique

Great art made easy: First, colourful blobs of paint are drawn onto the paper with the STABILO woody 3 in 1. These can then be mixed and matched with a damp brush - just like with watercolours. By the way, the best images are created on thicker paper so that the water does not soak the sheet.

Stencil technique

A simple technique for effective outlines and eye-catching colour gradients: First paint the edge of a stencil with the STABILO woody 3 in 1. Then place paper underneath and wipe the paint from the stencil onto the paper with your fingers. 

Frottage technique

Simply place a coin, leaves or other flat objects under the paper and lightly paint over them with the STABILO woody 3 in 1. The structure of the object now stands out magically.
